A landscape lighting plan is 40% design, 40% fixture spec, and 20% wire management — and the wire management is where cheap installs fail two summers in. Every fixture, every foot of low-voltage cable, every transformer VA calc is priced fixed. Timeline: 1–3 weeks typical.

01Marine-grade specification
Waterfront and near-waterfront properties get brass or 316 stainless housings — not aluminum that pits and dies in coastal salt air.
02Real transformer sizing
VA calculated against total fixture load + 25% headroom. No underpowered transformer that dims fixtures halfway down the run.
03Sealed splices, buried right
Every splice sealed with waterproof gel connectors. Every low-voltage cable buried below irrigation depth. No jelly-nuts thrown in a plastic box.
04Owner-held Electrical license
Wired under Aldo Dellamano’s personal Florida EC #13015530. Any pool, spa, or dock lighting on a permitted circuit is signed by the license-holder.

Do outdoor lighting fixtures need to be marine-grade in South Florida?
If they’re within a mile or two of open water, yes. Standard aluminum housings pit and corrode within two summers in coastal salt air. We spec brass or 316 stainless bodies for waterfront and near-waterfront properties — they cost more up front and last a decade instead of two summers.
Line voltage or low voltage?
Almost always low-voltage (12V or 24V) for landscape lighting. Safer around irrigation, easier to modify later, and no permit needed for the fixture side. Line-voltage 120V is only for larger fixtures, dock lights on a long run, or when integrating with existing outlet-fed setups.
Can you add outdoor lighting to an existing house without tearing up the yard?
Yes — that’s most of what we do. Low-voltage wire runs bury 6″ deep with a manual trencher, we thread through mulch beds, and the transformer mounts near an existing exterior outlet. Minimal disruption; the yard looks untouched within a week.
Do you integrate outdoor lighting with smart controls?
Regularly. Astronomic timers, WiFi controllers (Kichler, Lutron, HomeKit), and integration with existing whole-home systems are all standard. Set scenes for pool nights, guest arrival, or holiday zones.
