Every slab gets an RH probe reading. A number in the report, not a guess. That’s the difference between engineered hardwood staying flat and cupping at month eight.

Can I run wide-plank hardwood over a slab in South Florida?
Only engineered hardwood or a nail-down over sleepers with a proper vapor barrier. Solid hardwood over slab in a humid climate is a warranty claim waiting to happen. Every install starts with a moisture reading on the slab and the humidity profile of the room.
What’s the right subfloor prep before large-format porcelain?
Self-leveling underlayment to flatten the slab within 1/8 inch across a 10-foot span. Uncoupling membrane over crack-prone slabs. Non-modified thinset for large-format tile per manufacturer spec. Skipping any of these is why cracked tile appears at year two.
Do you do the crown molding, casing, and wainscoting at the same time as flooring?
Yes — finish carpentry and flooring are sequenced together on the same crew calendar so scribes meet, reveals stay consistent, and paint touch-up happens once. Coffered ceilings, tray ceilings, and picture-frame wainscoting all built in the field to your ceiling heights.
How long for flooring across a full house?
Two to five weeks depending on square footage and material. A 3,000 sqft home in large-format porcelain: about 3 weeks including underlayment. Same house in wide-plank engineered hardwood: about 2 weeks including moisture testing and acclimation. Natural stone with pattern-matched slabs: add a week.
