Home Services · Gas Piping

Gas Piping.

Natural gas or LP. Ranges to generators to fire features. Every run pressure-tested, permitted, and inspected. Florida Plumbing Contractor #CFC1434398 — gas piping falls under the plumbing license in Florida, held personally by the owner.

What's included · what's not

The full gas piping scope in writing before we start.

Gas piping is the least-forgiving trade in a house. A pinhole in a copper water line drips; a pinhole in a gas line kills. Every run pressure-tested at multiple times operating pressure before it’s pressurized live.

Why owners pick Dellamano for gas piping

The reason a gas line passes inspection the first time.

01Owner-held Plumbing license

Gas piping is a plumbing scope in Florida. Aldo holds FL #CFC1434398 personally. Every permit and pressure test signed by the qualifier.

02Sized for total BTU demand

Adding a fire feature to an already-loaded gas system without upsizing the supply starves everything downstream. We size the whole run, not just the last connection.

03Real pressure test

Not a quick soap test. Multi-hour pressure test at 3× operating pressure with an AHJ-witnessed gauge — the standard the inspector expects.

04Multiple trades in-house

Gas + electrical + mechanical typically overlap on generator, tankless, or pool-heater installs. All three licenses live in-house.

Frequently asked

Gas Piping · the questions Aldo answers every week.

Do I need to upsize my gas meter for a new appliance?

Sometimes. Adding a standby generator or a tankless water heater to a house that already runs a gas range and dryer often pushes total BTU load past the meter’s rated capacity. We calc total demand and coordinate with the utility if the meter needs an upgrade — usually a no-charge swap from the utility once we spec it.

CSST or black iron — which is right for the run?

Depends on the route. CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) is faster to install through walls and attics, but requires proper bonding per NEC 250.104. Black iron is standard for exposed exterior runs, appliance connections, and any run through a fire-rated wall. We’ll spec the right material per section of the run.

Do you handle LP tank coordination for homes off natural gas?

Yes. We coordinate the tank size (100 lb up to 500 gal above-ground or buried), the regulator, and the first-stage / second-stage pressure drop with the LP supplier. Our scope starts at the tank’s service tee and runs to every appliance.

Is gas piping for outdoor kitchens and fire features permitted the same way?

Yes. Outdoor appliances need the same permitted, pressure-tested gas piping as indoor ones — often with additional protection for buried runs. All part of the standard scope.
